BLENDING AND SEGMENTING

WHAT'S IN THE BOX: (All Powerpoints) There are 4 different adaptations of the 'What's in the Box?' game, all with a pirate theme.
Version 1: Captain Jake Arrow is learning how to read. He is typing sound buttons under the words to help him. The children have to click on the correct treasure box picture. The sound buttons are controlled by clicking a button, so the words can be sounded out together

Version 2: Grey Tom, Captain Jake Arrow's cat has to find objects on the treasure map. The children need to help him read is learning how to read using the sound buttons (controlled by a button) and choose the correct picture to match.

Version 3: Captain Jake Arrow is setting off to sea, and is throwing thing overboard. The children need to find the word (out of a choice of 3) to match the object he has thrown away.

FULL CIRCLE: (4 Powerpoints and 4 Smartboard files) The Smartboard files contain each list, and the letters needed to change it for the children to move; the PowerPoint files can be used to show the children the correct word when they have spelt out the word on their boards.
