ALTERNATIVE PRONUNCIATION ACTIVITIES:

For each individual grapheme, there are 3 different activities:
  • A PowerPoint for each different sound the grapheme makes
  • A PowerPoint for each different pronunciation, with sentences for the children to write, containing words with the alternative pronunciations
  • A PowerPoint game where the words have to be sorted into the correct pronunciation of the grapheme.

READING AND WRITING ACTIVITIES (All PowerPoint files)
  • Choosing 3 right answers - The children have to read the question, and choose the correct 3 responses
  • Homographs - Words which are spelled the same, but have different meanings and pronunciations
  • Writing Homographs - Shows 16 different homographs with corresponding pictures for the children to write sentences about
  • Phase 5 Yes / No questions
