TEACHING SETS 1-5 LETTERS
There is an interactive PowerPoint activity to introduce each new letter:
Hear it and say it Each PowerPoint begins with a slide to introduce the letter, for the children to 'see it and say it'.
Letter formation Then there is an animated slide, showing correct letter formation for the chidlren to follow with their fingers.
What begins with s  The remaining slides show 3 different objects. The children can click on the picture that begin with the correct letter. An animation tells them if it is right.

 For the introduction of ck ff ll and ss, explanations and examples of how they are used are given. 
There are 24 introductory PowerPoints:
  • Set 1 -  s a t p
  • Set 2  -  i n m d
  • Set 3 -  g o c k
  • Set 4 -  ck e u r
  • Set 5 -  h b f ff l ll ss
  • Also included is a letter formation PowerPoint, showing the correct formation of all the letters in sets 1-5.
PRACTISING RECOGNITION FOR READING:
The first set of PowerPoints show both letters and corresponding images for the children to say the letters as they are displayed:
